FEE STRUCTURE

  • Fees can be paid in cash or e-transfer.

  • Payment is due at the time of each session. 

  • The full fee will be charged for missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 24 hour notice.

We offer a sliding scale fee structure for those who might struggle to pay the full fee. A sliding scale is an arrangement that is reached between the therapist and the client where the cost of service is adjusted based on what client can afford to pay. Please contact us directly to determine if you qualify before scheduling your appointment.

Many insurance companies will cover counselling with a therapist who has a Master of Social Work degree who is registered with the Alberta College of Social Work. You can contact your insurance provider directly to see if you are covered.

We can bill directly for most Veterans, RCMP and their families, as well as employees covered by Alberta Blue Cross insurance benefits, some specific insurance companies. Unfortunately, most insurance companies will not allow us to bill them directly.

Land Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that Cold Lake is located on Treaty 6 territory and within the traditional lands of Cold Lake First Nations, Frog Lake First Nation, Kehewin Cree Nation, and Beaver Lake Cree Nation, as well as the Métis communities and settlements of northeastern Alberta, including Elizabeth Métis Settlement and Fishing Lake Métis Settlement. We honour their enduring relationships with the land, culture, family, and community.

As social workers, we believe a land acknowledgement is more than recognizing where we are. It also means acknowledging the ongoing impacts of colonization and respecting Indigenous knowledge, strengths, and diverse ways of healing.

In our practice, this means approaching Indigenous ways of knowing and healing with cultural humility, respecting self-determination, and honouring Indigenous ways of healing.

For us, reconciliation requires continued learning, reflection, from respectfuland reciprocal, and a commitment to building respectful and reciprocal relationships through our practice of social work.
