Susan McGowan, BSW, MSW, RCSW, is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Work. She worked as a therapist in Ontario for over 20 years before moving to Cold Lake in 2017.

Susan is trained in providing online video therapy and a EMDR Certified Therapist.

In the spirit of respect and reciprocity, we acknowledge that our Counselling in Cold Lake practice is located on lands and by water in Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional and sacred homeland of the Cree, Denesuline, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux and Metis Nation.  Cold Lake continues to be a home for diverse Metis, First Nations and Inuit People who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations.  We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us.  We acknowledge that this place is impacted by the ongoing process of colonialism. We strive to understand and reframe our responsibilities to land and community as we journey towards reconciliation.
